Stay in the know. Our text messaging service gives you all the information you need – delivered right to your phone.

  • Just enter your phone number when you book your trip. We'll text you to keep you updated on delays and cancellations from 22 hours before departure.

  • If you're a EuroBonus member or have a SAS Travel Pass, you can get more information texted free of charge:
    • We'll let you know about 2.5 hours before departure that your flight is leaving on time.   
    • We'll also tell you the terminal and gate your flight is departing from when this information is available.

The information we text is accurate when we send it and updated regularly. But it's still important to use other channels to stay informed of any further changes. 

  • SAS is not responsible for any consequences or costs arising, either directly or indirectly, as a result of information communicated in text messages. SAS is not responsible for the stability of or delays in the reception/connections of the telecommunications companies used. 

  • Please make sure your phone is turned on so you get continuous, up-to-date information.

SAS Smart Pass

The SAS Smart Pass takes your travel to the next level. Smart, time-saving and convenient, it's a sticker on your phone that you can use to identify yourself at the airport.



  • SAS Smart Pass works on domestic flights in Scandinavia on SAS and Wideroe and on flights from Scandinavia to Schengen countries. 

  • We recommend that you stick your SAS Smart Pass to your phone. 

  • You identify your trip by holding up your Smart Pass to one of the readers located in the airport.

  • SAS Smart Pass is based on NFC (near-field communication), a wireless communication technology that allows devices to exchange data. The Smart Pass has a transmitter that is activated when you hold the pass up to an NFC reader.

  • IMPORTANT: If your phone has NFC, do not fasten your SAS Smart Pass to your phone as it can interfere with the phone's NFC function (if it's turned on). Instead, attach it to another non-metal object that you carry when you travel.
