SAS is ongoing strengthening our offer in the air as well as on ground, where we are investing in SAS Lounges and SAS Fast track at our main airports and our destinations with the largest number of travelers. SAS is investing in digital solutions, new upgraded cabins, new aircraft, high-speed WiFi on all aircraft and have recently launched news in food & beverage onboard. On ground, to be able to continue and invest, expand and improve SAS Lounges and Fast Track offer, SAS will end our collaboration with some of our contracted lounges operated by third-parties. The result will be a continued improvement of SAS own offer where it benefits most of our Plus/Business travelers, members and 29 million yearly passengers. To mention a few examples SAS will invest in new and bigger domestic lounges at Arlanda and Oslo Gardemoen as well as upgrading our international SAS Lounges in New York, Paris and Chicago.
SAS and Star Alliance offer lounge access to over 1 000 lounges worldwide.

Slide your card: When you pass through security in Scandinavia and your ticket is registered on a card, you can use the card reader found at the security checkpoint. The staff will then be able to see your booking through the card reader.

Domestic Transfer is a new and simplified way of travelling for passengers arriving from abroad and transferring to a domestic flight in Norway. You may pass directly from the arrival gate, through the Duty-Free shops and customs to the domestic departure terminal. You don’t have to pick up or check in your luggage, and you don’t pass through security check in Oslo. This applies if your luggage is checked through to your final destination in Norway and that you have an onward ticket with SAS or Widerøe, issued for the entire trip.
Exception: This does not apply if you are travelling with weapons or animals.
This is how you do it
1. Follow the signs marked «Transfer» after leaving the aircraft.
2. Find the flight information for your domestic departure and follow the signs to your gate.
3. Shop your duty-free goods before entering customs.
4. When entering the customs zone you walk through the lock.
5. Follow the signs to your gate of departure.
We know that your time is valuable and we do our utmost to ensure that you arrive on time. Nevertheless, if your flight is delayed, we will do our best to assist you.
For delays of 2 hours or more, we will compensate you for any extra costs you incur during that period, such as food and beverages. For other costs, we recommend that you contact your insurance company for possible compensation.
If your flight is canceled, we will rebook you to your final destination and compensate you for the extra costs you incurred due to the wait, such as offering meals and in some cases hotel accommodation. For other costs, we recommend that you contact your insurance company for possible compensation.
If you decide to end your trip as a result of a canceled flight, you are entitled to a refund of the cost of your unused flight ticket. If you booked your ticket through a travel agency, contact them regarding a refund. If you booked your ticket through SAS, please contact the SAS Sales and Service or fill out the form below.
Thank you! Your query has been sent to our refunds department. We will do our utmost to process your request within 5 business days. When your ticket has been refunded, you will receive a refund receipt by email. SAS complies with EU regulations governing delayed and canceled flights.
At SAS, you can book your trip without thinking twice since you can always change your mind.
If you book at SAS website or through the SAS Sales and Service, you enjoy a 24-hour money back guarantee. This means that you can cancel your trip free of charge within 24 hours of booking and get a full refund. If you book your trip less than 24 hours before departure, you can cancel it up to 12 hours before the flight and get a full refund.
The 24-hour money back guarantee applies if you cancel your entire trip. If you change your ticket within 24 hours, different rules apply based on the ticket type.
If you change your ticket and then cancel your trip within 24 hours of booking, you’ll get a refund for the price of the ticket, but not for the price of the change.
If you buy cancellation insurance from Europ Assistance when booking at sas.se and then cancel your trip, Europ Assistance will automatically refund the insured amount within 7 to 10 days.
Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) strongly recommends that you allow yourself ample time (minimum 90 minutes) between scheduled flight arrival and the last daily departure of relevant public transport from the airport.
Flight delays may occur, and flight delays are often due to circumstances which are force majeure for the airline. In cases of force majeure the airline is not liable for any additional costs you might be faced with due to delayed incoming flight. It is therefore sensible planning to allow yourself ample time between scheduled flight arrival and any further ground transportation.
If SAS, however, should be found liable for the delayed arrival to your destination airport (= the delay is not due to force majeure), you must have allowed yourself minimum 90 minutes between scheduled flight arrival and the last daily departure of relevant public transport from the airport before SAS will consider eventual compensation for lost ground connection (such compensation always limited to your actual and documented costs due to night closed public transport).
You can also cancel your trip under My trips. Just enter your name and booking reference and the refund will be credited to your credit card.
If you cancel other parts of your trip that you’ve booked through SAS, for example hotels, rental cars, combined flights and hotels, the rules and regulations of the partner(s) apply.
If you have a refundable round trip ticket, you can get a partial refund if you, for example, cancel the return ticket only. In this case, you’ll get a refund for the amount that corresponds to the original price of the round trip ticket minus the price of a one-way ticket at the time of booking.
If you’ve booked a non-refundable ticket, for example in SAS Go, and rebook your trip in a refundable class, for example SAS Business, you’ll only get a refund for the portion of the ticket that is refundable if you cancel your trip. This corresponds to the difference between the price and other charges of the original and new tickets.
