    How it works

    With EuroBonus you can receive two types of points: Basic points and Extra points. You earn them in different ways, e.g. by travelling with SAS and our partners, and by using a SAS EuroBonus credit card for daily purchases. With one of our credit cards, it won't take long to earn enough points for your trip - without having flown once. All points are valid for up to 5 years depending on when during the year you earned them. You can choose between using them yourself or giving them to someone in your closest family. You can view your total points and the length of their validity when you log in to My Pages.

    Basic points are the points you earn when you fly with SAS, Wideroe and our partner Airlines*. The higher the booking class you choose, the more points you receive. Using your Basic points, you can steadily advance to the next EuroBonus membership level and even more comfortable traveling. You can use the points for new trips or give them to someone else. Are you missing Basic points?

    * Except for Etihad Airways.

    Extra points are points you earn on things other than flights such as rental cars, hotel stays or merchandise from selected online stores. If you combine your EuroBonus card with a payment card, you receive Extra points on all your purchases using the card. You can use your points to pay for new trips. However, you cannot use Extra points to help you advance to the next EuroBonus membership level.

    Code share

    EuroBonus lets you earn points on most trips you take. However, on code share flights, other rules may apply.

    A code share flight is a flight booked through one airline but which is operated by another airline (as indicated on your ticket). Depending on the airline that operates the flight on our behalf, you receive Basic points or Extra points, or in exceptional cases, no points at all.

    This also applies to travels with a tour operator that has chartered a SAS aircraft. When flying on a chartered flight you are also not able to use your EuroBonus benefits.

    Award trips

    You can use all your points including Basic and Extra points to book new trips. The number of points you need depends on the destination and type of ticket. If you don't have enough points, you can always pay with a combination of points and cash. You can also purchase Extra points.
